Oracle JET has released version 4.0.0 with the DOM syntax for defining all JET UI components in an HTML page, including the @oracle/ojet-cli Oracle JET command-line interface. This means that the usage of Yeoman and Grunt builds are optional now.
However, upgrading an existing JET application to v4.0.0 does not require you to move to the new custom element syntax.
If you are using an older version of Oracle JET already (v2.1.0, v2.2.0, v2.3.0, or v3.2.0), it is very easy to migrate to the latest version (v4.0.0).
