Another very helpful tool when it comes to 'Beyond the Basic Chart Types' is the Tableau Extensions API, which was released for public in 2018. What does the Extensions API do? Basically, it allows you to use third-party tools directly in Tableau. Some selected extensions are available here: https://extensiongallery.tableau.com.
