Finding inspiration on the Home Page
How many times have we opened Elements with a view to editing some pictures, let's say, from a recent trip, and just stared at the page not knowing what to do or where to start creatively?
I think this creative block happens for a number of reasons—we shoot a lot of images, so we are often overwhelmed by the sheer volume of visual information that's collected, and sometimes we just don't have the knowledge or experience to come up with new ideas on how to edit, and, most importantly, how to use our images creatively.
This is the Home Page. It's not very interesting until you take a closer look. The thumbnails along the top of this panel refer to web-based sources of inspiration, much the same as the eLive page in the previous version of Elements did. The three buttons in the lower right-hand side are shortcuts to open Organizer, Photo Editor, and Video Editor, plus links to recently opened files. The image highlighted in red...
