Organization/Team Topology

There is no magic team topology that suits each organization, and we will see different topologies in no order of preference.

Load Testing Team in Its Ivory Tower

For years, we had a load testing team that could decide whether an application could be put into production after testing it.

There are pros, such as:

  • More time to test the application
  • Full-time test teams
  • Experienced team

But with the multiplication of deliveries (Agile method) and the multiplication of applications/services (microservices), this topology must be adapted.

DevOps and Load Test Team Collaboration

The main difference with load testing team is in its ivory tower, is that the performance tester is integrated into the DevOps team (standup meeting, demo, task in sprints, and so on):
