Chapter 7. Creating and Publishing Content

In the last two chapters, we have learned how to create communities and organizations in Liferay Portal. We have also learned how to add public and private pages in communities and organizations. In this chapter, we will learn how to create and publish information using the web content portlet and other portlets of Liferay Portal.

Specifically, we will learn how to use the following portlets:

• Web content portlet

• Web content display portlet

• Document library portlet

• Image gallery portlet

• Asset publisher portlet

Using the aforementioned portlets, we will populate the portal pages at the neighborhood site with content. In this way, we make the neighborhood site an interesting place for the users to stay.
