To keep things fairly simple, the target bottle count for our robot bartender will be six. This means we will have six bottles of alcohol and mixers to combine in various ways to create our favorite drinks. Your robot bartender can make any drink that you desire. However, there is a bit of a balancing act in optimizing the bottle and drink combinations.
Based on my own personal experience of building a large-scale (50-bottle/45-recipe) version of this robot bartender and working with multiple professional bartenders on the recipes, I have prepared a list of five bourbon-based drinks. During an event at Dragos, where our robot bartender was unleashed on 300 guests, we found that we ran out of bourbon faster than any other alcohol. The bourbon-based cocktails were the most popular by far.
