Summary
Microsoft Fabric is designed from the ground up for the age of AI and is delivered as a single SaaS platform. In this chapter, you saw how quickly you can set up a Microsoft Fabric tenant and create a Fabric workspace. You also learned about different types of workloads (Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI) and how they provide a unified experience in building analytics systems.
With this knowledge, it’s time to dive deeper into each of these workloads and build an end-to-end analytics system. In the next chapter, you will build your first analytics system in Fabric based on the lakehouse architecture, followed by another one based on a modern data warehouse.
