Summary

In this chapter, we primarily conducted a statistical analysis using some powerful built-in procedures. We also had a brief look at how data can be transposed as this is an important step prior to getting the data ready for statistical analysis or report presentation. We also explored how some of the outputs from these procedures can be used to achieve a common objective, such as producing frequencies. The mix of procedures we have used helped us to produce basic statistics. We also managed to build a model using the REG procedure. While learning to model isn't the goal of this book, the examples we've used can help us perform the necessary data transformations and code the model.

In the next chapter, we will learn about advanced programming techniques, which are also known as macros in SAS.
