Configuring Network Watcher
Now that you understand what Network Watcher is, you will learn how to configure and use the various components available to the service. You will navigate through different scenarios and the ways the tools can assist you in a troubleshooting scenario.
Network Resource Monitoring
In this demonstration, you are going to monitor the network on two Windows Server 2016 data center VMs. You will create the VMs inside one VNet. You can then use these VMs for monitoring. Before you can monitor the network using network resource monitoring, you will need to install the Network Watcher agent on the two VMs. After that, you are going to inspect the network traffic.
Installing the Network Watcher Agent
You will set up two VMs, labeled NetworkWatcher1
and NetworkWatcher2
. To install the Network Watcher agent on a VM in Azure, follow these steps:
