Closing a QuickSight account

If you want to really close your QuickSight account, you can do so by unsubscribing from this service. You must be signed in as the AWS root account that was used to create the QuickSight account and then follow these steps:

1. From the QuickSight home page, select Manage QuickSight.

2. Next, click on Account Permissions from the left menu and then click on the Unsubscribe button as shown in this screenshot:

3. This will now provide a warning page that unsubscribing will delete all related data sources, data sets, analyses, and dashboards. Click on Unsubscribe to finally confirm, as shown here:

This completes the closing of the QuickSight account.
