Simplifying assemblies

In this recipe, you will use the Simplify tool to create a simplified model of a complex assembly, reduce processing time, and protect intellectual property.

The advantages of using the Simplify tool in your workflows are as follows:

Reduces the file size and complexity of large assemblies
Reduces the opening times of complex assemblies
Filters relevant design data
Protects intellectual property by removing internal components
Improves performance

The Simplify command enables you to create a part from an assembly by specifying the components and features you want to remove individually or by using one of the built-in presets within the Simplify tool.

Getting ready
