Viewing ideas
ideas are the key items stored in JPD projects. Ideas are displayed and organized using views.
Views provide several important functions. They can be used to organize and order ideas in a project based upon criteria such as when they could be completed on a potential roadmap or what teams could perform the work, and they can be used to compare competing ideas based on impact.
Views are based on the following four view types, which allow for different ways of organizing ideas:
- List: This presents ideas in a table format with relevant fields. Default examples include impact assessment and delivery status.
- Board: This shows ideas against a board with columns representing statuses or dispositions. A default example is the product roadmap.
- Matrix: This is used to compare ideas based on two criteria. An example of this is impact versus effort.
