Delivering ideas for development in Jira
When ideas are ready for development, they can be linked to epics in Jira. As the epic is created, a link is established between the original idea and the generated epic. Delivery progress can also be determined by looking at the status of linked Jira issues.
Let’s take a look at linking JPD with Jira.
Getting ready
Before creating the epic, please verify the following:
- There is at least one Jira project available to contain the epic.
- The person creating the epic has the appropriate permissions to create the epic in the target project. This same person should be a member of the JPD project or a Jira admin.
When both conditions are met, it becomes easy to create the epic as a delivery ticket in JPD.
