Accessing ArcGIS Online content in ArcGIS Pro


You are not limited to the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer for accessing all the content available in ArcGIS Online. You can also access it from ArcGIS Pro, as well as ArcMap and other Esri applications. As a matter of fact, you have already been accessing ArcGIS Online content in the form of the basemaps that have been a part of every map and scene you have created. All of those are served by Esri through ArcGIS Online.

In this recipe, the Emergency Management Director has asked you to prepare a map that could be used in the event of an impending weather event. It will need to include weather radar information as well as weather warnings. This will need to overlay the GIS information the city already has so other ArcGIS Pro users can monitor weather events as they develop.
