We learned in this chapter that Windows or macOS-based Adobe Acrobat Pro is a desktop application with a rich set of features that allow us to read, edit, mark up, and sign a document. All these tasks can be accomplished on a desktop system without a document ever leaving a local or network drive.
Adobe Sign, Adobe Fill & Sign, Request E-signatures, Share, and Send for Comments are some of the services available. While they are accessed from the Acrobat Tools page, they require a document to be saved and processed in Adobe Document Cloud. Services such as these allow us to create a workflow where users can fully collaborate and communicate, regardless of their physical location.
