In this section, we will take a look at managing the whole publishing workflow, from Viewpoint to View to Layout Book to Publisher Set.

The publishing workflow

We briefly touched upon printing and exporting in Chapter 7, but as you may have guessed by now, Archicad goes much further! The publishing workflow is a complete pipeline to configure information from the model, displayed as part of Views, referenced in Drawings, and placed in Layouts. The final step of this flow is controlling how everything is published or exported.

Publishing can take on several forms:

Publishing a Layout Book into a multi-page PDF document or booklet
Sending a series of drawings to a large-format printer
Generating a package of files for a project milestone
