Handwriting in OneNote
The OneNote notebook application is meant to mimic your paper notebook, so what better way to do that than to capture handwriting? Handwriting, printing, or drawing is best done on a smartphone or tablet, but it is possible to use a mouse on a computer to handwrite or draw.

Handwriting in OneNote on your computer
When using a computer that does not have touchscreen capabilities, you can still draw or handwrite within OneNote.
Follow these steps to handwrite or draw in OneNote on your computer:
- Click on the Draw menu.
- Click on any of the pens shown. You have many colors to choose from.
- Click anywhere on the page to start.
- While holding the left button down on the mouse, simply move the mouse to draw, handwrite, or print.
- The drawing or handwriting will stop when you let go of the button.
