Summary
In this chapter, we saw important patterns to present the user with a satisfactory user experience. We also learned important terms to speak with designers in equal terms and with mutual understanding – a necessary point for collaboration and presenting the user base with the best possible positive experience. We also reviewed some of the most common dark patterns, which are techniques and workflow implementations to manipulate users and often deprive them of privacy and resources. While mostly informative, this chapter should give you a better understanding of the environment where web applications are built, and what standards to follow for easy use. This is all knowledge that a good engineer and developer should be aware of.
