Chapter 3. Opaque Materials and Texture Mapping
The fact that we have already seen how a material is set up at a basic level should give us the confidence to tackle the present chapter, where we'll expand upon what we have previously learned in order to see more advanced materials and effects. This is what you can expect to see in the pages to follow:
- Using masks within a material
- Instancing a material
- Texturing a small prop
- A plastic cloth using Fresnel and Detail Texturing
- Creating a semi procedural material
- Baking out a material
- Distance-based texture blending
