Summary
Some SketchUp users make an entire career out of modeling furniture. You can even use the software to develop detailed construction documents for furniture builders. Although we don’t jump into that realm in this book, this chapter got you moving in the right direction. We built a coffee table from scratch, used manufacturer specifications to model an armchair, created a decorative tray with a radial array, and reviewed some of our favorite extensions for modeling furniture.
In the next chapter, we will experiment with colors and materials and learn how to create custom textures. It is a whole new world when you start seeing your designs in color!
