Making a FaceTime call
Once you have set up FaceTime, you can make calls to anyone you know who also has an iPhone, an iPad, or a Macintosh. (If someone uses an Android smartphone or tablet, or a computer that runs Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS, you will not be able to contact them using FaceTime.)
Since FaceTime calls use the camera, make sure you're in an area where your camera won't accidentally capture images that you'd rather not broadcast to others. For example, it's easy to talk on a regular phone call while going to the restroom, but you probably wouldn't want to do that with a FaceTime call since someone could see exactly where you are and what you might be doing.
To make a FaceTime call, follow these steps:
- Tap the FaceTime app on the Home Screen. The FaceTime screen will appear. If you have made or received FaceTime calls in the past, a list of all your previous calls appears, as shown in Figure 11.4:
