Implementing Distributed Cloud and Edge Platforms with Enterprise Open Source Technologies

In the previous chapter, we learned how Bison Insurance built its distributed cloud and edge operating model following the processes and template defined in Chapter 5, Building Your Distributed Technology Operating Model. We followed six main steps to determine our operating model dimensions for each operating model stream and, subsequently, our complete technology operating model. As in Chapter 5, we defined streams and grouped dimensions under each stream that the streams own, and subsequently built out an operating model for the resurgence program. In this chapter, we will show how Bison Insurance built its distributed cloud and edge platform called the Resurgence platform, leveraging enterprise open source technologies.
