Setting up VS Code

Visual Studio (VS) Code is a lightweight code editor developed by Microsoft. Its simplicity and expansive repository of plugins make it a convenient tool for developers. With its Dart and Flutter plugins, along with app execution and debug support, Flutter applications are very easy to develop.

In the upcoming sections, we will demonstrate how to set up VS Code to develop Flutter applications. We will start by downloading the latest version of VS Code from https://code.visualstudio.com/.

Installing the Flutter and Dart plugins

First of all, we need to install the Flutter and Dart plugins on VS Code.

This can be done as follows:

Load VS Code on your machine.
Navigate to View | Command Palette.

Rimjhim Bhadani is an open source lover. She has always believed in making the resources accessible to everyone at a minimal cost.
