At the heart of Veeam Backup & Replication are the workhorses – proxies – and the central storage for backups – repositories. In this chapter, we will take a look at the proxy servers and what's new in version 10, including Linux proxies. We will discuss the differences between using Windows versus Linux as a proxy and some of the requirements. You will learn about the different proxy backup modes and use cases when each method is applied to your environment.
