Site and SQL Server backups
System Center Configuration Manager 2012 includes out-of-the-box tasks to assist you in maintaining your environment. One of these tasks is the backup site server maintenance task, which simplifies the backup process of the Configuration Manager environment.
Backing up Configuration Manager
You can find the site maintenance tasks in the Administration section of the Configuration Manager console. Navigate to Overview | Site Configuration | Sites | Site Code | Site Name | Site Maintenance, as shown in the following screenshot:
To enable the Backup Site Server task and to configure it to back up your site, you have to do the following:
Select the Backup Site Server task located in the Maintenance tasks section of the Configuration Manager console. From the list, select Backup Site Server and click on Edit… to open the Properties page, as shown here:
