As already outlined, ABAC is a new way of applying and dealing with security in Qlik. It is powerful, as it gives Qlik administrators full flexibility on how they want to implement security, and, more importantly, the level of freedom they wish to give to their users or groups of users.
Security rules using ABAC are the driver of governing the Qlik Sense server and its users. They allow the administrator to control how many self-service capabilities users have and, more importantly, which users. They permit the definition of user groups and security roles, which facilitates giving some more advanced users more permissions than others.
