In this chapter, we have looked at preparing rasters for further analysis/processing work. We have also seen that, while demonstrating the tools and processes that can be applied to raster images, the settings that are required to produce the end result that you wish are beyond the scope of this chapter, as there are too many variables, file extension types, and indeed raster image types to cover everyone's needs. Working with temporary files gives you a lot of flexibility to test different processes and settings.Â
In the next chapter, we will see what new features QGIS has for editing and ways to create different types of data. We will also work with some geocodes and mappings.
