This section will look at the essentials for designing IIoT architectures, encompassing the knowledge we gained from previous chapters. We will also examine how architecture will address intelligence at the edge and how machine learning works in an integrated environment.

As with most of this book, the chapters in this section weave between theory and practical hands-on examples. Each chapter builds on the previous set of materials. While you will understand how things work within each chapter independently, we will reference work in previous chapters that you can build on.
