Summary
In this chapter, we learned how to create a bicycle reference model with two different techniques: one using 3D primitives and one using parametric designs. We first learned how to plan out the design and then created basic models with the aforementioned techniques, which we can use for other similar bicycles. It is up to you, the designer, to know what may be best for building your model. Will you need every detail shown or just the basics to give you a general idea of where parts sit? Knowing the difference will help you become a much more efficient designer.
In the next chapter, we will create a water bottle reference model, which we will use for our water bottle design.
