Adding markers and to do items
When working on a long, involved project, you're bound to come across points in your timeline where you utter "Ack! I have to fix that, but I don't have time right now!" Or perhaps you're tag-teaming a project with another editor and want an easy manner to leave notes behind for your editing buddy. Markers and To Do Items are the way to go.
How to do it...
1. Place your playhead anywhere along a clip. Hit M once. Take note of the blue marker icon that has appeared on the clip. This is a standard marker, simply a visual cue for a particular moment in time. If all you need to do is leave a visual icon for yourself, you're done. But we can do more!
2. Move your playhead to another point in time (on the same or a different clip). Press M twice. The first press adds the marker and the second press brings up the marker dialog box. Now you can type in a title for your marker. We'll type in

. Click on the box that says Make To Do Item. The box disappears...
