Part 1: Developing Compute Solutions in Azure
We’ll begin with a recap of some cloud computing fundamentals before we start exploring Microsoft Azure, covering the key need-to-know concepts of Azure. We’ll then introduce the relevant compute solutions available within Azure. You will learn how to create and use ARM templates and provision Azure virtual machines, as well as some important considerations when doing so. We’ll cover an introduction to containers and the relevant services for managing containers and container images. We’ll introduce Azure App Service, covering creating and deploying code to an App Service web app, along with scaling and configuration options. The final topic of this part is Azure Functions, where we’ll cover creating, developing, and deploying Azure Functions, along with durable functions for the stateful orchestration of serverless functions.
