Migrating using Azure Migrate tools
Before we begin, I’d like to share some resources that cover two additional scenarios: physical server migration using Azure Migrate at https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/migrate/agent-based-migration-architecture, and VMware server migration located at https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/migrate/migrate-support-matrix-physical-migration.
Let’s walk through how we can establish the initial resources needed for the Azure Migrate service as an example:
- After logging into https://portal.azure.com and searching for
Azure Migrate
, we then select Discover, assess and migrate from the Get started section, as shown in Figure 14.2:

- We then create a new Azure Migrate project by selecting + Create project or the Create project button, as shown in Figure 14.3:
