Decisions are not blame
It’s easy to say that we should have bought a new car instead of keeping the poorly performing car we have, but there may be challenges in saving money for a new car and higher insurance and maintenance costs.
This simple analogy is often what I use to explain how decisions could have been made differently. However, for every decision, especially when it comes to redundant hardware or more software development to build highly reliable code, there is a trade-off with a business’s budget and the bottom line. In fact, a business may need to choose between paying employees and buying redundant hardware.
