Great book- I rated it with highest rating because this is exactly what a person needs who is just getting into aws and trying to build something. This book has step by step walk throughs/ screenshots and commands to make every topic interactive and easy to practice. I would want to spend lot of time going through this multiple times to get hang of it.

This is a great book who want to start from scratch and build and production grade AWS infrastructure. It’s written in pretty simple language, It covers Monitoring Visibility etc.Another standout is that the example shows multiple ways to do things including two IAC (infrastructure as code) methods. Including Terraform examples is a great idea.This is also good book who want to just refresh the aws knowledge.

This can be an incredible book if you work or wish to work in AWS space. It’s simple to get it and to the point. If you want to understand the admin side of AWS then this is the book for you. Each and every topic is separately explained and in simple words. If you are preparing for a certification then this book should be there on your shelf. The author has presented the topics in an efficient way through screenshots and CLI commands. key takeaways from the book: Automation, Backup, Monitoring, Fault tolerance and User management.

This book is a key resource for anyone seeking to get into AWS System Administration, or to take their capabilities of managing AWS cloud services to the next level. The book provides a practical approach to learning AWS CLI, introduction to Boto3, terraform, creating and managing IAM users and groups, building your own AWS cloud using PVC and scaling your AWS cloud via EC2. It also provides a comprehensive approach of adding scalability and elasticity to provide fault tolerance and load balance your applications using Terraform and AWS RDS.Monitoring and Backup play very important role for your AWS cloud and the book give you step by step approach to setup custom metrics using CloudWatch and how you can automate and manage alarm notifications using emails and slack channel and how you can easily back up your data to S3 using AWS CLI.The author also covers AWS tips and tricks section at the end of the book (a key part of this book ) that tells you to how to quickly choose VPC subnets for your VPC, dedicated instance vs host, the power of IAM permission boundary, customize cloud watch metrics, why tagging is important, how you can protect your EC2 instances and EBS volumes using termination protection and how to reduce your AWS bill.

This is a great book written in the most simple language. It’s easy to understand and to the point. If you are a AWS system admin or even want to deploy your application using AWS then you will find all your questions answered in this book. Just browse through the table of content and you will be able to locate your question/ query . It’s also a detailed book for anyone who wants to try AWS cloud platform. The book is written keeping in mind the practical problems that an administrator might face while using AWS. I would any-day pick up this book to get to the point answer to my query on AWS then using Google which might confuse me with numerous approaches.
