Scanning solutions with Alfresco

There are many scanning solutions that you can integrate with Alfresco. Here, we will discuss with various such options:

• Any standard scanner that scans and saves the document in PDF/TIFF format to the filesystem can be integrated with Alfresco. The scanner in your remote office can be connected to a local network folder (refer to the first figure of this chapter), and the network folder can be mapped to the Alfresco repository as a space via WebDAV or CIFS.
• Any scanning solution can use Alfrseco's web services to push documents into the repository. It is a very easy integration.
