Project 2 – flame detection
This project utilizes the KY-026 module, a sophisticated flame detection module specifically designed for use with Arduino and a variety of other microcontrollers. The primary function of this module is to detect the infrared light that is typically emitted by fire.
At the heart of the KY-026 module is the YG1006 sensor. This is a negative-positive-negative (NPN) silicon phototransistor that is known for its high-speed performance and remarkable sensitivity. These characteristics allow it to rapidly and accurately detect the presence of fire or excessive heat.
One of the key features of this module is its dual output capability, offering both digital and analog outputs. This dual function allows users to select the most appropriate output for their specific application, providing a high level of flexibility in usage.
The KY-026 module finds applications in an impressively wide range of scenarios that require fire or heat detection. For instance...
