Printing any document to OneNote
Because OneNote is such an ideal place for holding information of any kind, we have this extra option of being able to print to OneNote. You don't need to copy and paste information from another program into OneNote when you can print to OneNote. Windows 10 sets up OneNote as a printer for us. So, in any program where you can choose to print, all you must do is change the printer to OneNote.
This will create a copy of that information in your notebook. The Printout option from the Insert toolbar menu provides the same feature, but the method I am sharing with you here is convenient when you are inside the program and want to have that information copied to your notebook.
Let's look at the steps to achieve this printing, as follows:
- Within your program of choice, choose to print your file. For our example here, let's say we are in an Excel spreadsheet.
- From the Print menu, change your printer to OneNote for Windows 10...
