Modern sites are not restricted to text-based content anymore. These sites utilize the power of videos, audios, and images to provide valuable content to their users. Embedding such content from popular external services is common in most websites these days. The WordPress embedding feature was powerful even before the Gutenberg editor. We could just add the URL from supported sites to the Visual editor and get it embedded automatically using the core features. With the introduction of Gutenberg, the embedding feature is simplified further with the use of blocks. Now, we can add and organize embeds as blocks and even use different displaying options for different screens.
In this recipe, we are going to look at the process of embedding content from external services by using Facebook and YouTube.
