Using conversations and comments with Visio documents
Visio documents that are stored in OneDrive, Teams, or SharePoint can be referenced in conversations in Teams, and with comments in the Visio file itself.
First of all, we need to understand the difference between the two ways of referencing all or part of a Visio diagram:
- Conversations: This is a Teams-only feature that allows us to include a reference to an accessible Visio file within a threaded Teams channel chat. We can use
@mentions
in the conversation to invite participation on a referenced file. - Comments: This is a Visio feature that allows us to add threaded comments to a specific page or shape within a page. We can also use
@mentions
to invite other users to collaborate on a specific page or shape.
