Summary
This chapter was an introduction to the power of the CM camera system for quickly adding a Player follow camera, implementing game mechanics for collecting items that engage the player, displaying key game progression elements to the player with Unity UI, and how to finish and balance our collection game with both win and lose conditions.
In the next chapter, we’ll introduce the next project in the book by defining the GDD for the Outer World 2D adventure game, learning how to import original artwork to use with additional Unity level building tooling, and exploring more aspects of level design and game polish.
