The Scrum values
Just like the pillars of a house are built with concrete, iron, and stone, so do the Scrum pillars need material to build them with. This material is the ethical values of commitment, courage, focus, openness, and respect. The Scrum values may be easier to remember visually:
Only when these values are adopted by the whole team can the pillars of Inspection, Adaptation, and Transparency become strong enough to support and protect the team and the development process. Successful use of Scrum depends on people applying and constantly honing these values. Let's take a closer look at each of these:
