Customizing sounds and haptics
By default, every iPhone sounds the same, so if you don't change the sound settings, you may think your iPhone is receiving a phone call or text message when it's really someone else's iPhone in the same room. If you want to personalize the way your iPhone sounds, take some time to modify its sound settings.
In addition to changing the sound your iPhone makes when you receive a message, you can also define whether you want your iPhone to vibrate as a way to provide additional haptic feedback in case you can't hear your iPhone making a noise. For example, you can make it vibrate when you receive a phone call. That way, if you're in a noisy area and don't hear your iPhone ring, you'll still feel it vibrating to let you know you have an incoming call.
