Preface
Over the years, I've spent endless hours reading through CVs, trawling through candidate profiles, and conducting interviews. Sometimes I've done a good job of recruitment, and I have hired people who have excelled at and enjoyed their role, but sometimes I've failed and I have hired people who didn't stay because they and the role weren't the right fit. Right now, it's an exciting time to undertake recruitment as social networks provide highly effective ways to build relationships with potential candidates, and these relationship building activities mean as an employer, you get to know the candidates better over a period of time, and as a potential employee, you get an insight into whether the company and the role will be a good fit.
This book will build on your current knowledge and experience of recruitment to successfully integrate social media into your recruitment strategy to get the best possible results with a sustainable investment of time. It will take you through clear, practical steps to building a tailored approach that makes the most of the resources already available within your organization.
