There are very few minor typos (I found 3).Logically organized by technology topics. Gradually introduces topics and provides relevant advice on performance issues. Some code in the Kindle version is not properly formatted, going to the free source code repository in github will help in those cases.I found this book excellent towards building solid skills towards becoming a solid MongoDB developer.

Very well-written guide to MongoDB aggregations. Contains detailed examples to help illustrate concepts. Doesn't just give you an idea of how to implement something with aggregation but also provides new ideas of what's possible. I wish there were more comparisons to SQL to help draw parallels for readers new to MongoDB but familiar with relational

I joined MongoDB a year after the company released the aggregation framework. While it was pretty simple in those early days, significant R&D investment over subsequent years has evolved it into one of MongoDB's most powerful capabilities. It puts immensely powerful data processing tools in the hands of developers using their preferred languages and frameworks. This allows them to extract even more value from their app data without incurring the complexity or cost of having to move it into a dedicated analytics system. Practical MongoDB Aggregations shows them how. With real world examples, the book shows how developers can programmatically compose powerful multi-stage processing pipelines that aggregate, transform, and enrich live application data for real-time analytics and insights. Whether you are building reports, generating alerts against live sensor data, transforming and enriching data for further downstream processing or feeding machine learning models for training and inference, the aggregation framework is your go-to tool.Packed with real world examples built by Paul from a decade of working with MongoDB's largest and most demanding customers, Practical MongoDB Aggregations is perfect whether you are new to MongoDB and NoSQL, or a seasoned pro!

If you use MongoDB or plan to, this book is for you. Paul does a great job explaining aggregations, the history, and idiomatic development patterns. This book is for newbies as well as seasoned pipeline developers. It sits on my desk as a constant companion.
