The APEX Workspace


This term was already mentioned briefly in the previous chapters, but now it's time to officially discuss it, and make it clearer.

APEX Workspace is a logical container that holds all the APEX resources needed to develop an APEX application(s). A new Workspace can be created by using the APEX Administration Services, by the internal ADMIN user, which is created as part of the APEX installation process. The main menu of the Administration Services, and the relevant option for creating a new Workspace, can be seen in the next screenshot.

In general, each APEX Workspace contains a group of user(s), with different possible security levels and functionalities; associated with one, or more, database schema(s); it holds the APEX applications that are developed within it.
