Time for action – creating an ADF skin using the skin editor IDE


Let us see how to create an ADF skin using the skin editor. Open skineditor.exe from the location in the skineditor folder where you have extracted the skineditor.zip file. Perform the following steps to create an ADF skin using the skin editor IDE:

  1. Click on New Application; it will open Create ADF Skin Application.

  2. Provide the Application Name value as SkinApplication and locate the directory for the application.

  3. Click on the Next button; it will open the next screen where you can provide the Project Name and Directory values for the project.

  4. Provide the Project Name value as EmployeeDirectory and locate the directory for the project. The Target Application Release value is set to 11.1.2.0.0/11.1.2.1.0/11.1.2.2.0.

  5. Click on the OK button to create the project.

  6. Now you will see the added EmployeeDirectory project in the projects section. Now right-click on the EmployeeDirectory project and select New, and then select ADF Skin File...
