Creating and Managing Teams Policies for Channels
Private and shared channels in Microsoft Teams are designed to offer more controlled and secure environments within a team while minimizing duplicated efforts and team sprawl. Unlike standard and general channels, which are visible to all team members, private and shared channels can only be accessed by individuals who have been specifically added to them. Each private and shared channel is supported by its own dedicated SharePoint site, separate from its parent team, to ensure that the security and confidentiality of discussions and files are maintained.
