How to assess and improve findings
Now that we know how the score is calculated, it’s time to look at how you can address the scores and enhance security posture in the environment. The most important task is to define a strategy and success criteria for improving scores. The following list names a few different approaches:
- Some organizations aim to attain the highest achievable score
- Some organizations are content with achieving a score somewhere in the middle
- Some organizations may prioritize addressing their top five items based on categories
- Some organizations focus only on items that demand minimal effort
- Some organizations don't use secure scores at all for managing recommendations
As we can see, there is no silver bullet or strategy that fits all organizations. Approaches and responsibilities need to be clear so that organizations can address recommendations effectively and improve their environmental security posture.
