In Audit settings, there is the option to enable read logging. This option logs events in Microsoft 365 alongside other applications and services.
The activities that are logged in Microsoft 365 are more extensive than those in the CDS. Some of the activities that are logged include the following:
- Reads of individual records
- Queries of multiple records
- Export to Excel
- Adding a user to a team
There are some restrictions:
- A Microsoft 365 Enterprise E3 or E5 subscription is required.
- Only Power Platform production environments are supported.
The activity logs can be viewed in the Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Center at https://protection.office.com, as shown in the following screenshot:

One of the most beneficial configurations you can do for users is to make it easier to find their data.
