Creating a web template

A web template serves as the foundation for structuring and designing your web pages in Power Pages. It provides a blueprint that defines the layout, structure, and functionality of a web page, ensuring consistency and efficiency across your portal. In this section, Sarah learns the process of creating a basic web template using Power Pages.

Accessing the web template editor

To begin creating a web template, navigate to the Power Pages Management app. From the app’s navigation menu, locate and click on Web Templates. This will open the web template editor, where Sarah can define the structure and content of the web template. In this example, Sarah will create an Incident Web Template and inherit the Page Copy template that contains common code and the Page Header template, as shown in Figure 8.2:
